Founded in 2012 by a group of elite Rohingya human rights activists and scholars. IRCHR works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights, primarily civil and political rights in Myanmar (Burma), particularly in Arakan state.

Since then we’ve worked to empower the Rohingya community and other civil society in the state of Arakan to claim their rights and drive change and through detailed research and analysis.
